Snake Party: General info & FAQ

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Thu Apr 28, 2016 at 12:41 am.

What is this?
Snake Party is my final release on Xbox Live Indie Games, and is a follow-up to Snake360, my first release on XBLIG. Its highlights are the latest version of Snake360's intense, addictive and hilarious Battle Mode--with many new features and refinements--plus a brand new single-player Mission Mode containing over 100 unique challenges, some of which are extremely tough!

Snake Party: Known issues & undesired behaviors

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Jul 22, 2016 at 9:36 pm.

The original, latest, and final version is 2.0, released on August 31, 2016.

Here is a list of known issues and/or unintended behaviors in the XBLIG release of Snake Party. Because Xbox Live Indie Games is being discontinued, and submissions beyond September 2016 are not possible, these will not be fixed. They are minor issues that should only affect a small number of players.

Multitasking: Version info/history

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Jan 23, 2016 at 3:37 pm, and was last updated in 2017.

The final version is 1.0, released on 1/23/2016. (Updates to XBLIG are no longer possible.)

Release history:

1.0 - Original release.

Known issues:

- In a future release of this game, exiting the main menu or quitting a game in progress will bring you to the title screen, not the ranking screen. This is less confusing than the current setup.

Multitasking: General info and FAQ

Short version: someone described this game as "WarioWare on crack." (not me)

Now, the long version that is of course typical of my rambling style:

Multitasking is a game that challenges you to play a continuously-shuffling series of minigames. The catch: you have to play more than one at a time. Up to four, in fact. You will use just a single controller to do this. For an introduction, click here for the official trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Le6yh0q2bY

Bungee Ferret Tossing: General tips and scoring strategy

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Aug 16, 2012 at 11:51 am.

Here's some info that will help you out. But ultimately, you'll need to rely on your skills to get those high scores!

Understanding Rank

A number called rank determines some big factors in this game:
- The number of enemies that appear. The higher the rank, the more enemies you'll see.
- The movement speed of both enemies and enemy projectiles. The higher rank goes, the faster all of that will be.
- The duration of the encounters at the end of Stages 4 and 5.

Bungee Ferret Tossing: Version info/history

The final version is 1.0.1, released on 10/16/2012. (Updates to XBLIG are no longer possible.)

To update, simply launch BFT; you'll be informed that an update is available and can download it right from there. After the download is complete, relaunch the game.

Falling: Basic game strategy

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Mar 13, 2010 at 5:52 pm, and was last updated in 2017.

- Kick a lot. Kicking is the most effective way to cause blocks to move. So consider kicking first, before considering a different course of action.

- Blocks will slow their horizontal movement when on top of the floor, or another block. So the way to get a block to travel the furthest is by kicking it off another block so that it flies through the air. Because there is less friction, it will travel much further. This is illustrated in the attract mode demo.

CardArcade: Version info/history

This was originally posted to the yyrGames forums on Sep 02, 2009 at 10:06 pm, and was last updated in 2018.

The final version is 1.1.3, compiled on September 15th, 2015. (Changes to XBLIG are no longer possible.)

If you are not running the latest version of CardArcade, you will be informed that there is an update when you launch the game. Unlike retail and XBLA games, the update is not required to play, but it is strongly recommended that you update for the best experience.

You can check what version you have by looking in the bottom-left corner of the title screen. You will see the string "XBLIG VERSION x.x.x," where x.x.x is the version number you're currently running.
