Rest assured, I've been working on games. But I've been largely absent from this page, and for those of you who still visit...I'm very sorry about that. I'm going to try to make more of an effort this year to keep you all up to date.
The "Newest Dev Diary" area on the front page is the cornerstone of my attempt to do that. My original vision was to post something there each and every week. That's ambitious, for sure, and I don't think I'm going to succeed in that, but I'm going to try to post at least somewhat regularly so that you have the latest updates on my progress.
That said, I want to take this opportunity to list out all of the current projects on my agenda, present their current status, and project where they're going in 2026:
Snake Party Extreme for Steam/Windows: I'm more or less working on this one exclusively right now, in an effort to get it out the door. My original target was Summer 2025; now it's March 2026. Depending on how diligently I can work this month, I may or may not make it. The game itself is essentially finished; what I'm working on now is the Steam-exclusive features, namely the Leaderboards, Stats, and Achievements. The latter two are almost there, but the Leaderboards will take some work to implement properly. Stay tuned.
Super Duper Multitasking for Steam/Windows: I know this one is already out, but I have one more update planned. Mostly, I want to officially support more controllers, and update the in-game controller art. There are a couple other surprises to come, as well. After that, I'm thinking about at least one console port. Stay tuned.
Bungee Ferret Tossing 1.5 for Steam/Windows: This one is still coming, I promise. It needs updated artwork, and some new gameplay features are planned as well. I'm hoping to work on it during lunch breaks at work, after I'm able to clean up this Web site some. It may or may not happen this year, but I would really like it to.
Hinted, but unannounced Multitasking companion minigame collection: I mentioned in the past that I wanted to release a companion collection alongside Super Duper Multitasking (and its free version, Super Multitasking GO!) that allowed you to enjoy a selection of the minigames in a different way: single-tasking, with multiplayer support added as well. My motivation here was to leverage the enormous amount of work that I already did, and make something new out of it, maybe with a quick turnaround. But these days, NOTHING that I do is quick. I am now reconsidering this collection, and am leaning towards cancelling it.
New unannounced project: Still in the planning stages is the thing that I *really* want to work on, which is a multiplayer-focused combat game in which you have somewhat-limited control over your character. It would feature large battles (2-16 players), both with free-for-alls and team battles. I want to target conventions and arcades. Thing is, I haven't even tested the concept yet, so I don't even really know if it's going to be fun. I hope to test it sometime over the next year.
No Game Left Behind status: It's already been over 8 years since Xbox Live Indie Games were delisted. Back then, I vowed to carry all of my games forward to new platforms. How am I doing? Well, I'm still working on it. Falling and Sharpshooter got their new versions first, then Multitasking. That's 3 of my IPs, out of 6. Just above in this very post, I mention new versions of Snake360/Snake Party and Bungee Ferret Tossing, which will bring it up to 5 when they are ultimately released. Still absent is CardArcade. I would love to bring that back as well, and I had actually been working on a new version around 2013, but I want to completely rewrite it from scratch, and then release it both on PC and mobile platforms. This will be a huge undertaking and I don't think I'll have time for it this year. If you're still waiting for it, I apologize. I'm waiting for it too, trust me! Stay with me, I'm not giving up on it yet.
Thanks for your continued interest in yyrGames! I'm looking forward to bringing you more in 2026 and beyond.
