Hey everyone!
I'm hoping to post more regular updates going forward...weekly, if possible. I'll mark these as "dev diary," and the latest post will be front & center on the home page of this here site! This way, you can see exactly what I've been up to, since it's not really otherwise evident that I've been working on anything; I haven't released a new game in quite some time now!
I just got back from a trip to Ohio, and I got a surprising amount of work done on Super Duper Multitasking while there! I'm basically sprinting towards the finish line now, trying to work on the last few features that are going into the game. Unfortunately, some of them are unexciting. But I'm sure that the few people who will use the "Clear Save Data" menu in Help & Options will appreciate that there is now a way to clear ALL data, and that there are now better explanations of the other available options.
More excitingly, I drew and added the "Duper!" The title logo has now finally been updated to actually reflect the game's new title =) It now spins and shrinks into the rest of the title, the same way that the "Super" previously did. What's more: the letters in "Multitasking" now bounce and spin after the "boom!" of the "Duper" crashing into the rest of the logo. It makes me happy! Amy and Annie like it, too!
I also fixed a bug with the XP system, and also started making preparations for the last few features to be added to Workout Mode: song selection and dance pad configuration! You'll be able to map both keyboard keys (if you want to use Joy2Key or equivalent) and gamepad buttons. I can't wait to try it out for real! With Steam's controller support, it should work great with any dancepad!
Over the next week I hope to do more playtesting of the game's Missions! I can't wait for you to try them at TooManyGames 2024 in Oaks, PA from June 28-30!
That's it for now. Thanks for tuning in, and as always, thanks for your support =)
